Formerly, she was an elementary school teacher, and she currently homeschools her three boys. She graduated in 2020 from Grand Canyon University with a Master’s in Professional Counseling. Next, she worked for a community-based mental health facility specializing in helping children and families of various socioeconomic backgrounds, ages, genders, and identities ensuring that those under care understood that healing or positive change is possible and a reality. She provided individual, family, family without the client, group, and case management services where she collaborated with the clients’ holistic care team to help ensure continuity of care. She utilizes a person-centered, strengths-based counseling approach when working with clients of various ages. Furthermore, she implements interventions from both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Behavioral therapy modalities because she knows change is attainable with a positive perspective change. She enjoys working with various clients who present with symptoms of anxiety, depressed mood, emotional dysregulation, and other social and emotional concerns to help equip them with helpful coping skills, calming skills, mindfulness strategies, self-care, and behavior modification.
