Jessica Peay

Jessica Peay is a Licensed Professional Counselor, (LPC# 0701006992) currently licensed in Virginia with more than fifteen years of experience serving adults diagnosed with a Serious Mental Illness (SMI). She earned her Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. Jessica specializes in community and hospital based forensic mental health services for individuals involved in the criminal justice system, as well as provides Disruptive Event Management (DEM) services to employees experiencing adversity in the workplace. In her part-time capacity with Chesapeake Counseling Associates (CCA), she offers individual and couples counseling to adults and seniors. Prior to joining CCA, she provided crisis services in the community, jail and hospital-based settings. Drawing from her diverse experience, Jessica incorporates skills from Solution- Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Gottman Method of Couples Therapy. Her approach is client-centered, interactive, collaborative, and direct. Jessica is genuine and down-to-earth, focusing on practical interventions and actionable skills to improve individuals’ sense of well-being.
